Meerlust Estate has over 300 years of winemaking tradition in South Africa’s Stellenbosch region. The Myburgh family, now in its eighth generation, runs the 272-acre property and utilizes the vineyards’ diverse soils to produce some of the country’s most iconic wines. The oceanic microclimate stemming from the estate’s proximity to False Bay not only cools the vines in the summer, but also develops distinctive character in each varietal.
