Founded in 1996, Stone Brewing pioneered the West Coast Style IPA, helping to fuel the modern craft beer revolution and inspire generations of hop fanatics. Now the ninth-largest craft brewer in the US, we operate two production brewing facilities on both coasts, in Escondido, CA and Richmond, VA. Today, our beer is available in all 50 states and more than 40 different countries.
We've been brewing IPAs since before they were cool. Stone IPA has been turning beer drinkers into hop fanatics since it was first brewed in 1997, and since then we've churned out countless variations on the style. We're constantly researching and experimenting with new hop varieties and brewing techniques. Our Senior Manager of Brewing and Innovation is even on the Hop Research Council! While we've built our reputation around vibrant, hoppy IPAs, that's not all we do - far from it. All in all, we believe craft beer drinkers deserve access to fresh, great-tasting beer.
Our infamous logo is the gargoyle. Gargoyles are historically known as protectors against evil spirits. Since the beginning, our Stone Gargoyle has represented our ceaseless quest to create the most awesome beers imaginable. Think of the Gargoyle as the big friend that's got your back. Ever vigilant, ever watchful, and ever your humble servant.
